August 25, 2021 | Softball
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee softball head coach Karen Weekly has announced the program's exhibition schedule for the 2021 fall semester. The autumn slate features seven home contests for the Lady Vols and one road tilt against Kentucky.
Â
Admission for all fall contests at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium is free of charge. Gates will open one hour prior to first pitch. Restrooms will be open, but concessions will not be available for fall softball games.
Â
Fall ball begins Saturday, September 25, when the Lady Vols welcome Pfeiffer University to SPL at 2 p.m. ET. The next afternoon, ACC foe Louisville will head down to Knoxville for a 2 p.m. first pitch.
Â
UT will play host to Lee University for a standalone contest on Friday, Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m.
Â
The Lady Vols are set to host a four-team round robin the weekend of Oct. 23-24, facing off against Carson-Newman, Pensacola State and ETSU over the course of the two-day tournament.
Â
The fall finale will feature a home-and-home series with SEC rival Kentucky during Halloween weekend. UT will travel to Lexington Friday night, Oct. 29 for a 6 p.m. contest before returning home to Rocky Top to round out the fall against the Wildcats on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 5 p.m.
Â
Coming off a 42-15 campaign this past spring, the Lady Vols return 13 players from the 2021 squad—highlighted by a pair of NFCA All-Americans in Kiki Milloy and Ashley Rogers. UT also welcomes 10 newcomers that will look to gain valuable experience this fall leading into the spring season.
