Lady Vols Close Out June Stewart and Texas Invitationals

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee women's tennis team won two matches on the final day of the June Stewart and Texas Invitationals.
In Nashville, Kylie Duckworth collected a singles win over MTSU's Marta Peris Herrero 2-1, ret.. In doubles, she paired with freshman Lyric Bonilla to defeat Bandy/Trbeznik of Lipscomb 8-6.
In Austin, junior Tenika Mcgiffin fell to Texas A&M's Jessica Anzo 6-2, 6-1 and freshman Callie Creath was defeated by Rice's Diae El Jardi 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Rebeka Mertena, McGiffin, and Kaitlin Staines will wrap up the fall slate with the ITA National Invitational beginning on Nov. 8th in Newport Beach, Calif..
