Mike Patrick Resigns as Women's Tennis Head Coach

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- University of Tennessee Athletics Director and Vice Chancellor Dave Hart announced Wednesday that Mike Patrick has resigned as the head coach of the women's tennis program. Patrick spent the last 30 years guiding the women's tennis program.
Patrick is the winningest coach in Tennessee women's tennis history with a mark of 473-310 (.604) and has a career record of 529-338 (.610). At the helm of the UT program, Patrick has seen 23 teams earn Top-25 national finishes in the rankings.
Under Patrick's direction, 13 Vols have earned All-America honors representing four countries and nine states. Six of those players have earned multiple All-America honors.
The Vols concluded the 2016 fall season last month. Their first spring competition date is Jan. 14.
