Vols' Softball Adds Three More to 2016 Class

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee softball has announced three more additions to its 2016 recruiting class.
The Vols will welcome Tianna Batts, Cailin Hannon and Shelby Robinson for the 2016-17 academic year. They join UT's four previously announced newcomers Caylan Arnold, Jenna Holcomb, Kaitlyn Martin and Chelsea Seggern. You can read about those players HERE.
With their seven newcomers the Vols have reeled in another strong recruiting class after pulling in the No. 2 ranked class last year.

Alexander Central HS | Outfielder
Tianna Batts
Batts, a three-time NCHSAA All-State selection, comes to the Vols from North Carolina high school powerhouse Alexander Central. She helped lead the Cougars to back-to-back state titles in 2013 and 2014 as well as a National Championship in 2014. Batts also helped lead Alexander Central to a state-record 95 consecutive wins from 2013-15. She was named a MaxPreps Underclass All-American during her freshman and sophomore seasons and was named a MaxPreps Junior All-American in 2015. The speedy outfielder batted .602 with 22 RBI and went a perfect 43-43 in stolen base attempts last season. She has also won three ASA State Titles with her club teams, two with the Carolina Cobras (2012 & 2013) and one with the Lady Lightning (2015).SB | Tennessee Postgame vs. Nebraska (5.25.25)
