Three Lady Vols Ranked in ITA Preseason

The 2014-15 college tennis season is about to begin for the Lady Vols, and today, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released the ITA Division I Women's Preseason Rankings.
Sophomore Eve Repic came in at No. 40 in the singles rankings. Repic finished last season ranked at No. 57.
However, Repic isn't the only Lady Vol to be ranked. She is joined by the senior duo of Caitlyn Williams and Joanna Henderson who are ranked at No. 16 in doubles. At the end of last season, Williams and Henderson finished at No. 45.
Along with the preseason rankings, the selections for the 2014 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships, the first major championship of the fall, were also announced.
Repic was selected for the qualifying singles draw, and Williams and Henderson were placed in the alternate list and qualifying draw for doubles.
The national event is set to begin on Saturday, Sept. 27 with prequalifying singles and doubles matches. The qualifying matches will be from Sept. 30 until Oct. 1, and the main draw action is scheduled for Oct. 2-5.
The official team rankings will not be released until January. The Lady Vols finished last year ranked 34th. They begin their season on Sept. 26 during the Furman Fall Classic in Greenville, S.C.
