Lady Vols Impress in Day 2 of Fall Classic

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- As day two of the Furman Fall Classic wraps up, the Lady Vols continue to play well against tough competition.
After a strong showing in singles on Friday, the team followed that up with another well put together performance. Sophomore Laurence Guevremont stood out for the Lady Vols. She will be playing for the championship match in flight four tomorrow after winning all three of her singles matches through two days.
Sophomore Brittany Lindl and junior Tiffany Tavares also have had success during the tournament. Both will play for third place in their flights tomorrow.
Doubles turned things around today with each of the three teams winning their only match of the day.
As the third and final round of the tournament began, each duo found themselves fighting for a fifth place finish in their respected flights. Olivarez and Lindl as well as Boles and Tavares finished in fifth place, but the team of Henderson and Guevremont fell just short but still finished in sixth place.
Sunday will hold the final round of singles to finish up the tournament starting at 9 a.m..
