KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Vols had five former players playing Major League Baseball during the 2014 season. One former Vol, Luke Hochevar, will represent Tennessee in the World Series with the Kansas City Royals. Get the breakdown of the VFLs in pro baseball here.

J.P. Arencibia - 1B, Texas Rangers
(Majors) Season: .177, 62 G, 20 R, 36 H, 9 2B, 10 HR, 35 RBIs
(Minors) Season: .279, 48 G, 31 R, 53 H, 8 2B, 14 HR, 41 RBIs
J.P. Arencibia played in 62 games for the Rangers during the 2014 season. He finished the season with a .177 batting average and riding a six-game hitting streak.
R.A. Dickey - SP, Toronto Blue Jays
Season: 14-13, 3.71 ERA, 34 G, 215.2 IP, 191 H, 101 R, 89 ER, 74 BB, 173 K
R.A. Dickey went 14-13 over his 34 starts for the Blue Jays during the 2014 season. He finished the season with a team-leading 14 victories. Dickey finished 14-13 for the second consecutive season.
Yan Gomes - C, Cleveland Indians
Season: .278, 135 G, 61 R, 135 H, 25 2B, 3 3B, 21 HR, 74 RBIs
Yan Gomes appeared in 135 games during the 2014 season for the Cleveland Indians. During his second season with the Indians, Gomes hit .278 with 21 homers and 74 RBIs. His 135 games is the most of his young professional career.
Chase Headley - 3B, New York Yankees
Season: .243, 135 G, 55 R, 114 H, 20 2B, 1 3B, 13 HR, 49 RBIs
After being Traded to the Yankees, Chase Headley played in 58 games. He also appeared in 77 games for the San Diego Padres. Headley hit .243 with 13 homers and 49 RBIs on the year.
Luke Hochevar - SP, Kansas City Royals
Luke Hochevar underwent Tommy John surgery on March 18, 2014. He missed the entire 2014 season and is expected to return for the 2015 season. Hochevar threw for the first time, since surgery, on September 10, playing catch in an indoor batting cage at Detroit's Comerica Park. The former Vol threw two sessions of 25 pitches at a 45-foot distance and will continue a rehabilitation program of throwing twice a week until he approaches the mound again in January. Hochevar's Royals will represent the American League in the World Series which begins tonight, October 21.
