THE NOTRE DAME GAME
- Twenty-one was the lucky number for the Irish against Tennessee; the Lady Vols entered the last meeting with Notre Dame sporting a 20-0 all-time record. The 21st proved to be their lucky charm as the Irish topped UT, 73-59, to punch their tickets to the 2011 final four.
- The last time Tennessee traveled to South Bend, the No. 3-ranked Lady Vols, led by Candace Parker and company, took an 87-63 decision on Jan. 5, 2008 in a sold out Joyce Center.
