Three Vols Swim at Championships

Three Tennessee swimmers competed on Thursday, the third day, of the 2010 ConocoPhillips National Championships in Irvine, Calif.
Senior co-captain Michael DeRocco led the way finishing 33rd in the 100-meter butterfly with a time of 55.03 seconds. Freshman and Knoxville-native Alex Ward finished 90th in the event with a 56.91-second mark.
In the 50-meter freestyle, junior All-America Ricky Henahan finished 70th with a 23.82-second time. DeRocco placed 90th behind a time of 24.17 seconds.
