Helms Takes Ninth at USA Diving National Championships

Tennessee's sophomore diver Ryan Helms finished ninth in the three-meter springboard at the AT&T USA Diving National Championships, Saturday morning, in Tallahassee, Fla. Helms was the last Vol to compete as the event draws to a close Saturday afternoon.
With a score of 402.15, Helms finished one spot above SEC rival and Alabama standout diver Aaron Fleshner. Also competing was former UT diver and Olympian Jevon Tarintino, who finished second in the event with a 484.75.
Winning the event was Troy Dumais with a score of 511.80. Dumais is a member of Longhorn Aquatics in Austin, Texas.
