Rincon Takes 9th in NCAA Zone B Platform

The Tennessee men???s diving team completed the third and final day of the NCAA Zone B Championships in Auburn, Ala. on Sunday. Day three saw the completion of the platform competition at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center.

Senior Ryan Rincon led the way by finishing ninth in the event with 326.65 points.

???I was really proud of Rincon who probably put forth one of his best diving performances because the judging was tight,??? UT diving coach Dave Parrington said. ???He did some really great stuff. We were very proud of his efforts in his last collegiate event.???

Teammates Chris Davis and Michael Muscari finished 16th and 17th, respectively. Davis collected a total of 277.60 and Muscari finished with 260.65.

???We???re really disappointed we didn???t make it to NCAA championships,??? Parrington said. ???But the younger guys will just have to work harder and hopefully we will do better next year.???

Next up for the Vols is the NCAA Championships at Federal Way, Wash. The meet lasts from March 27-29 and takes place at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center.????
