Wolfe Named National Collegiate Swimmer of Week

Collegeswimming.com named the Vols??? senior captain Michael Wolfe the National Collegiate Swimmer of the Week after his performance against the Louisville Cardinals on Oct. 20. Wolfe helped the Vols beat the Cardinals 165-130 with victories in the 200 backstroke and 200 butterfly. The Bartlesville, Okla., native???s butterfly time of 1:47.87 is an NCAA consideration time as reported by Collegeswimming.com.
Wolfe is a three-time All-America in the 200 back, 400 free relay and 800 free relay. He has earned SEC and Thorton Center honor rolls for two consecutive years. In 2006, he won the EdAmerica Scholar Athlete All-Star Award. During the U.S. National Championships this summer, Wolfe qualified for the Olympic trials in the 100 and 200 backstrokes and butterflies.
