Free Autograph Session Sunday At O&W Series
October 18, 2007 | Baseball
The Tennessee baseball team concludes its inaugural five-game Orange & White World Series this weekend, with games set for Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. at Robert M. Lindsay Field at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Orange Team holds a 2-1 edge entering this weekend???s games, which mark the end of UT???s fall practice.
Both of this weekend???s games are scheduled for seven innings.
Following Sunday???s game, fans will have a chance to meet the Volunteers, first-year head coach Todd Raleigh and his staff during a free autograph session on the field.
Saturday???s pitching matchup features redshirt freshman left-hander Bryan Morgado for the Orange Team and junior right-hander Aaron Everett for the White Team. Morgado and Everett each started in game one, with Morgado earning the hard-luck loss despite allowing just one earned run through five innings with four strikeouts. Everett earned the win in that game thanks to five no-hit innings that jumpstarted what turned into a three-man, combined no-hitter.
Sunday???s pitching matchup will likely include sophomore right-hander Steve Crnkovich for the Orange Team and sophomore left-hander Nick Hernandez for the White Team.
Admission to this weekend???s games is free. However, fans should be aware that, due to ongoing construction at the stadium, the netting that has served to protect spectators from foul balls is not currently in place.
