WHITE DEFEATS ORANGE TO CONCLUDE PRESEASON WORKOUTS

The Tennessee men's swimming and diving team concluded its preseason Friday with the annual Orange and White Meet with the White Team coming out on top 74-37.
"We have a lot of work to do before opening the SEC portion of our schedule but we are looking forward to facing Louisville (Friday, Oct. 20) at home to open the season." UT head coach John Trembley said. "(Friday) was a good day to get the new guys in on some of the Tennessee traditions such as running through the T to Rocky Top.
The White Team leads the all-time series 16-14.
Individual winners for the White Team were Greg Houchin in the 1,000-yard freestyle, Michael Wolfe in the 200 individual medley and 200 butterfly, Ryan Rincon on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards and Michael Russo in the 200 breaststroke.
Boswell led the White Team to victory in the 400 medley relay as well with Russo, Andrew Engle and Barry Murphy following his lead.
Orange Team winners were Nolan Morrell in the 200- and 500 free, Octavio Alesi in the 50 free, Jonas Persson in the 100 free and the 400 free relay led by Morrell. Jimmy Dabney, Scott Wherry and Travis Wright followed in the 400 free relay.
The Vols open the regular season Friday, Oct. 20 with a home meet against Louisville at 5 p.m.
