UT head coach John Trembley announced his captains for the 2005-06 campaign Saturday. Rising seniors Casey Dauw, Bryan Goldberg and Tyler Gustafson look to provide solid leadership to a youth laden team.
"We are proud to announce Casey Dauw, Bryan Goldberg and Tyler Gustafson as our captains for the upcoming season," Trembley said. "All three are Academic All-Americas, have scored at NCAAs and understand their importance as leaders.
"These three will bring a strong blend of leadership qualities," Trembley added. "Casey Dauw is a fiery competitor, Bryan Goldberg is a masterful organizer and Tyler Gustafson is a quiet model of perseverance. With the size of our freshmen class, we will be in need of great leadership. These three athletes have been a coaches dream who come to work everyday. I could not be more pleased and we are all eagerly anticipating our upcoming season."
BOSWELL NAMED TO SEC GOOD WORKS TEAM
Rising junior Brad Boswell was named to the SEC Good Works Team for his contributions to the Knoxville community and his superb dedication in the classroom.
"Brad Boswell, in addition to the phenomenal service to our community, has been a committed student," Trembley said. "He is an Academic All-America and this year in the pool had a breakout season. Boswell will be a dominate force next year at NCAAs. Speaking for all the coaches, I am very proud of Brad for his service, manners and commitment to excellence. He is a very special person with whom to work with."
