The 17th-ranked Tennessee men's swimming team completed the second day of the Southeastern Conference championships at the University of Florida's Stephen C. O'Connell Center in Gainesville, Fla., in sixth-place with 127 points.
"We have a lot of racing tomorrow with some guys swimming two individual races," UT head coach John Trembley said. "We had some good times today along with some disappointments."
Junior Bryan Goldberg brought home a 12th-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley in 1:49.23. Freshman Michael Wolfe followed up Goldberg's finish with 14th-place in 1:51.34. Both times were season bests for Goldberg and Wolfe.
Sophomore Brad Boswell finished 14th in the 500-yard freestyle in 4:25.27 to set his second season best in as many days. Boswell set a career-best time in the 200-yard freestyle yesterday while setting a season mark for the team.
The relay squad of Josh Fulton, Kiel Huston, Andrew Engle and Tyler Gustafson finished sixth in the 400-yard medley relay in 3:14.69. Fulton's lead-off time of 48.90 in the 100-yard backstroke was a season high for the junior.
