Former Vol Andrew Bree posted two strong times last weekend at the Janet Evans Invitational in Long Beach, Calif., in what was seen to be a preview for the Olympic Trials in July.
Bree finished fourth in the 200-meter breaststroke in 2:16.54 after finishing second in the preliminary round in 2:16.97. Bree continued the weekend with another top-10 performance, going 1:03.95 in the 100-meter breast and finishing ninth.
Fellow senior Raymond Rosal and his Venezuelan 400-meter freestyle relay team finished third. He was the only other Vol to make the finals in his respected event.
Other Vols performing were senior Josh Fulton and junior Bryan Goldberg.
Goldberg finished 34th in the 400-meter freestyle in 4:11.42. Fulton swam both the 100- and 200-meter backstrokes, finishing 43rd and 50th in 1:02.32 and 2:16.40, respectively.
