Baseball Team Set to Begin Fall Practice Monday

KNOXVILLE -- Tennessee's 2004-05 baseball team begins fall workouts Monday, Oct. 11 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Monday's practice marks the first of a full schedule of fall workouts that culminates in the annual Orange and White game on a date that has yet to determined.
"Normally, we would have already begun fall ball at this point," head coach Rod Delmonico said. "But we've had a lot of guys bothered by injuries recently. We had to delay things a bit, but we've got to get to work now. I'm eager to see how the team looks, and I think the guys are looking forward to getting on the field."
In his 16th year as Tennessee head coach, Delmonico enters fall ball with a talented 25-man roster. Returning ace Luke Hochevar highlights a list of 19 Vols returnees, while six newcomers hope to prove themselves as contributors.
