The No. 10 Tennessee men's swimming and diving team opens its home schedule Friday at 5 p.m. against SEC-rival Kentucky at the UT Student Aquatic Center.
"We're excited for the season home opener against Kentucky," UT head coach John Trembley said. "They are a fine team with a 13th-place finish at the NCAAs last year. With no weaknesses in any event it will be a classic SEC showdown."
The Vols (1-0) are returning home after a 129-112 road victory over Georgia Tech last week. Kentucky is also coming into the meet with a 1-0 record after defeating Michigan State at home last Saturday.
Tennessee leads the all-time series with the Wildcats 35-3, with the first meet taking place in 1937.
This will be the last dual-meet for the Vols until after the new year when they travel to traditional power Indiana on Jan. 7.
