DUAL MEET RECAP
- Concentrated primarily on the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke, setting career bests in four events
- Made career best in 100 free in opener against UNC Wilmington in fourth place (54.57)
- Recorded a pair of fastest times at the Tennessee Invitational to conclude the fall season, swimming 23.53 in the 50 freestyle and 54.47 in the 100 backstroke. She finished second in the backstroke in her NCAA B cut time
- Improved time in the 100 backstroke, swimming unattached with a time of 53.54 in the Florida meet to close the regular season
- Swam in the prelims in three events: the 50 freestyle (23.53; 37th); 100 backstroke (54.46; 26th); 200 backstroke (1:59.52).
2011-12 - FRESHMAN
AWARDS2012 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll SEASON RECAP
- Competed in just two dual meets during season
- Finished third in the 100y back with a time of 58.42 seconds at UNC-Wilmington
- Swam the 50y free as an exhibition, touching in at 24.26 seconds.
PRIOR TO TENNESSEE
- Captured 12 state titles at the Tennessee Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association State Championship over the course of her prep career
- Was a part of four consecutive state championship squads and set state records in the 200y medley relay (1:41.63) and the 200y (1:32.63) and 400y free (3:27.58) relays
- Won the 200y medley and 200y free relay all four seasons
- Individually, was victorious in the 100y back the past three seasons and finished runner-up in the 50y free as a junior and senior at the state meet
- Named a four-star recruit by SwimmingWorld Magazine
- Tabbed a NISCA/Speedo High School Swimming All-American all four years at the Baylor School.
PERSONAL
- Is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences
- Her mother, Laura (Sawyer) was an All-American for the Lady Vols in the 400y medley relay in 1984
- Her sister Sloane was also a member of the Lady Vol swimming and diving team and her brother Joseph played football at UTC
- Lists her mom as her biggest sports influence
- Outside interests include photography
- Arden Taylor Pitman, daughter of Wes and Laura Pitman, was born on June 12, 1993 in Chattanooga.
